CALAIS, LONDON, WINCHESTER     

Our destination was Calais, where we got into the Eurotunnel Shuttle, and arrived to Dover.

Our first stop was London, the gigantic metropolis of over 9 million inhabitants. It is a marvelous city, 
attracting
tourists from all over the world. We spent there just one day, and tried to visit few of the sights.
We headed for the South, and on the way we stopped for two hours in the charming little town of 
Winchester.

The travel took  35 minutes.

 

The Millennium Wheel (British Airways London Eye) on London's south bank provides panorama of the town.
It was built in 2000.

Edward the Confessor had the original palace built in the eleventh century.

Tower Bridge is one of the world’s most famous bridges, built in 1894.

Winchester Cathedral.
Founded in the 7th century, but several times rebuilt since that time.

High Street with all the important brand names represented and many boutiques and specialty shops.
