VAL DI SOLE, DIMARO

Val di Sole is a valley in North Italy in Province Trentino. The river of the valley is called Noce This is Camping Dolomiti di Brenta in Dimaro, Val di Sole. This is the
Map of Val di Sole.
The camping is a starting point for rafting and excursions. We had a comfortable 'residence' (apartment) in the main building of the camping.

AROUND MADONNA DI CAMPIGLIO, PEAK GROSTÈ

South from Dimaro is the famous Ski resort Madonna di Campiglio. There are several cable cars, this one took us to Passo Grostè. Passo Grostè (2443m) is a ski area in the winter, but looks very rocky in summer. We enjoyed walking there! We were surrounded by spectacular dolomite peaks. We found several canyons. Maybe I would not ski here at all? Look, how deep is this one...!!!

These black-face sheeps are hesitating... Which sign to follow? We had lunch in Grostè Rifugio. This was the panorama from the table. We spent hours walking on the slopes and enjoyed the view. Since 1967 Brenta group belongs to Adamello -Brenta National Park.

Adamello-Brenta Natural Park is the largest protected area of Trentino. Located in the western part of Trentino Province - Italy, it is 618 km² wide: it includes Adamello and Brenta mountainous groups. The we made more excursions based on the Map of Adamello-Brenta Natural Park.

We made lots of photos of wild flowers (see in chapter 'Widflowers') Sitting in Grostè cabin... Black  and white cows.

 VAL DI GENOVA

Another beautiful excursion in Val di Genova.  Cascades Nardis. Approx. 130m high. The water comes from Glacier Presanella. The river is rich in stones and rocks, might be too dangerous for rafting. We could sit there forever...

 VISITING LAKES

Lake Tovel is one of the 80 lakes of the National Park. A pinetree growing on a rock. The walking path to Lake Nambino was easy-to-go.
We enjoyed rich flora
around us.
Lake Nambino. This calm lake is a real paradise for everybody who wants
 to enjoy the NATURE.
