KHAMA II RHINO SANCTUARY

Khama II Rhino Sanctuary is close to village Serowe on 4300 hectares on Kalahari sandveld. It was established in 1992, for saving black and  white rhino populations in the area. The park was named after a former president of Botswana Sir Seretse Khama. Today 14 rhinos live in the park. We have not met any of them ... :(

Khama Park has lot of wildebeests.

The other nam of wildebeest is 'gnu'.

Three more wildebeests.

GABORONE
Gaborone is a fast-growing city, capital of Botswana. It is situated in the south-eastern corner of the country, close to the South-African border. The town is important trading center, with lot of office buildings and shopping malls.

Security might be an issue in this town. We have seen lot of strong fences.

In the morning it was very cold. The tent was frosty outside, and icy inside.

This was Gaborone CITI Camp. An interesting 'tree areal' next to the camp.
