Sardegna is a land
of colors, beautiful coastlines, archeological sites........
This exiting island can be considered not only a unique paradise of coastline
and blue seas
but also as a land of art and archeology.
The four Moor's head shown on the flag of Sardinia are traditionally associated
to the
four Moorish emirs which were defeated by a king of Aragon (13th century).
We spent there 4 and half days (which was not too much). We stayed in
different campings
and made lot of excursions.
North Sardegna. Valle di Luna. (Valley of the Moon). The rocks on this road were like the ones on the Moon.... |
One of the 7000 'nuraghe' which are the ancient buildings of the island. Round shape stone dwellings most of them were built in the middle of Bronze Age (18th-15th centuries BC) |
Usually no rain in
Sardegna. |
Is this a
botanical garden? No, it is just a garden of a camping. |
Another nuraghe... It was quite high! Can you see Klara standing there? |
People usually do
everything to grow own exotic plants at home... |
South-West Sardegna. Plants are fascinating. |
Costa del Sud is
the south coast of Sardegna. Marvellous scenic drive along the unspoilt coastline. |
On the panoramic
road of Costa del Sud.
|
Even the streets are framed by beautiful
plants.

South Sardegna. The favorite place of the pink flamingos is the marshes around around Cagliari. |
Cagliari is the capital
of Sardegna. |
A view of Cagliari from the ferry. |
