EL-JEM, KAIROUAN, MONASTIR  

El-Jem is the most significant Roman monument in Africa. Kairouan is an important Islamic 

holy place. Monastir is a beach town, with many hotels and a romantic fortress, called Ribat.

El-Jem is one of the most remarkable sight in Tunisia. Its amphithetre is almost as big as the Colosseum in Rome. 

138 m long, 114 m wide, with 3 tiers of seating. 30.000 people were watching the spectacles.

Kairouan is a holy city in Tunisia. It is the fourth among the holy places after Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem.
