Krakkó - Lengyelország - 2012 - Krakow

Egy legenda is kapcsolódik a templomhoz, mely szerint két testvér építette a templom két tornyát. Versenyeztek, hogy melyik lesz a szebb, magasabb torony. Sajnos a történet nem végződött jól, a bátty annyira győzni akart, hogy megölte öccsét, de azután nem sokkal a saját életét is kioltotta, annyira kínozta a lelkiismeret furdalás. Végül a király fejeztette be a tornyokat. Az öccs tornyát szebbre és magasabbra építette, és koronát is tett rá.

According to a legend two brothers were building the two towers. They were in competition who can build a higher and nicer tower. The elder brother wanted to win, and decided to kill his yunger brother. After he killed him, he felt very guilty and committed suicide. Then the king completed the towers. He made a higer and nicer tower for the younger brother, and also put a crown on the tower.

157-158-159. A tatárok 1241-ben átkeltek a befagyott Visztulán és lerohanták a várost, a toronyőr riadót fújt a kürtjével, egy tatár nyíl azonban eltalálta a torkán. Erre a be nem fejezett riasztásra emlékeztet ma is az óránként megszólaló és hirtelen megszakadó trombitaszó. - In 1241 the Tartars crossed the frozen river Vistula and attacked town Krakow. The guard in the tower blew his trumpet for alarming the town, but his neck was pierced by a Tartar arrow. As a memory of this event in each hour a trumpet player plays an melody and suddenly interrupts.

6. Kazimierz, az egykori Zsidónegyed KAZIMIERZ Krakkó történelmi városrésze, amely a zsidó közösség otthona volt a 14. századtól a II. Világháborúig. A települést Nagy Kázmér király alapította 1335-ben. A náci megszállás alatt az itt élő 68 ezres zsidóságból néhányszáz túlélő maradt. Az utóbbi években a kerületben épületeket újítanak fel, zsidó hagyományok szerinti éttermek, kávézók, galériák nyílnak. Kazimierz, the former Jewish Quarter KAZIMIERZ is a historical district of Krakow, which is best known of being home of a Jewish community from the 14th century until the Sceond World War. The settlement was establishe by Great Kazimierz King in 1335. During the Nazi occupation most of the 68.000 Jewish population were killed, only few hundred survived. In the last years building are subject of renwals, and traditional Jewish restaurants, coffee houses, galleries are opened.
