Stavanger -
Stavanger Norvégia harmadik legnépesebb lakosa, nem egész 200.00 főnyi
lakossággal. A város a kontinensen és több szigeten fekszik.
Kikötőjéből indultunk Tauba komppal, ahonnan aztán autóval Preikestolen
parkolójáig mentünk el. (15. fejezet)
Stavanger - Stvanger
is the third largest city in Norway with a population of almost
200.000. The city is located on the continent and on several islands.
We took ferry in Stavanger to Tau, and then drove to Preikestolen

Sandefjord -
Sandefjord város Norvégia dél-keleti részén helyezkedik el. Itt
található a Bálnavadászati Múzeum, amelyet meglátogattunk és sétáltunk
a városkában.
Sandefjord
fő bevételi forrása a bálna- és fókavadászat volt. A Jeges-tengeren és
a norvég partok mentén vadásztak. AZ első jeges-tengeri expedíció
1905-ben volt. A 20-as évek végére Sandefjord 15 feldolgozó és több
mint 90 bálnavadászó hajóval rendelkezett. 1954-ben a környékről 2800
férfi dolgozott a bálna-iparban. Az 50-es évek végén a bálnavadászat
visszaszorult. A 67/68-as év volt az utolsó bálnavadászati szezon
Sandefjordban.
Sandefjord - Sandefjord is a town in South-East Norway. We visited the Whaling Museum and walked in the town.
Sandefjord's
main income originated from were whaling and sealing in the Arctic
Ocean and along the coast of Norway. The first whaling expedition
from Sandefjord to the Antarctic Ocean was sent in 1905. Towards the
end of the 1920s, Sandefjord had a fleet of 15 factory ships and more
than 90 whalers. In 1954, more than 2,800 men from the district were
working in whaling, but from the mid 1950s whaling was gradually
reduced. The 1967/68 season became the last for Sandefjord.

bálnára. - The Whaling Monument is Sandefjord's
most famous sculpture. It was created by Knut Steen at the end of the
1950s. It shows whalers with oars and harpoons hunting for a whale. |
