"A local person opened an industrial type of mill at one of the the main roads towards Austria, since the plan was to bring grain from Austria also. The owner was called Mayer Márton (owner of a pub) and he opened "Katalin Mill" in 1900. As the time passed the mill was developed and became a shareholder company. In 1910 the company was liquidated. The mill was bought by a person, called Ratzenböck Károly who was a rich man from the town Kapuvár.

The business was later taken over ny the Szórády family from ton Sopron. In 1911 it became a prosperous shareholders company.
